Editors’ Rating: excellent
Canon’s Color imageClass LBP664Cdw ($1,295) is a single-function (print only) color laser printer designed for enterprise environments and fleet deployment. Aside from the enterprise and fleet compatibility and software enhancements (resulting in a significantly higher price), it’s an entry-level to midrange printer similar in features, capacity, and volume to our small office and workgroup Editors’ Choice, the Brother HL-L8260CDW, and a few others. The LBP664Cdw prints well, but its running costs are a bit high for a printer at this price. Don’t let sticker shock deter you, however, from getting the security, accounting, and other features your organization needs. While researching this review, I found the Canon all over the web for well under half its list price, making it a definite contender for enterprise and fleet deployment on a budget.
