- PROS
Terrific print quality. Low running costs and huge ink allotment. Expandable paper capacity. Single-pass auto-duplexing ADF. Emulates PostScript and PCL page description languages.
- PROS
- CONS
No borderless photo output. Initial paper input capacity a bit low. Expensive.
- BOTTOM LINE
This Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C5790 may be expensive, but it’s awash with ink and has twice the warranty of its predecessor, and it’s poised to out-value most entry-level and midrange color laser AIOs.

Editors’ Rating: excellent
Epson’s recently released $899 WorkForce Pro WF-C5790 Color MFP Supertank Printer is essentially 2018’s PCMag Editors’ Choice for midrange all-in-one color printers—the $299.99 WorkForce Pro WF-C5790 Network Multifunction Color Printer—dressed to kill. While its price may seem far too steep for what is essentially a midrange color inkjet AIO, if you print and copy several hundred to a few thousand pages each month, this multifunction (print, copy, scan, and fax) office machine leaves its predecessor and competitors choking on their inefficient per-page toner and energy-use costs. This latest Epson color laser AIO alternative can reduce your small office, workgroup, or enterprise document management node printing costs significantly.
