An upgrade in capacity and features from the entry-level HP ScanJet Pro 2000 [amazon_link asins=’B01M0SUNLZ’ template=’CopyOf-PriceLink’ store=’store-1′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’318501a6-c70a-11e7-ac3c-0bab3888def0′] we reviewed recently, it is faster than the Editors’ Choice Canon imageFormula DR-C225 [amazon_link asins=’B00LBVUIV8′ template=’CopyOf-PriceLink’ store=’store-1′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’60c56950-c70a-11e7-8c67-252bffba23e0′] and the Brother ImageCenter ADS-2000e [amazon_link asins=’B00OCX06NM’ template=’CopyOf-PriceLink’ store=’store-1′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’6e427925-c70a-11e7-bb85-fbb0009a1dca’]. The ScanJet 3000 includes a well-rounded software bundle, and, in testing, the hardware performed well. Optical character recognition (OCR) accuracy is about average, and speed is excellent. All this makes the ScanJet 3000 our new Editors’ Choice personal desktop document scanner, though it’s also good for a small or micro office or workgroup.
