PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Position: Owner/Operator dock.net – June, 1996 – June, 2008

dock.net, a worldwide Internet Service Provider (ISP), offered all levels of Internet service, including dialup, broadband access (DSL, T1s, T3s, Ethernet over Fiber, and Fixed Wireless), Web Hosting, Web applications and Web design, Voice over IP (VoIP or Digital Telephone), and Hosted PBX. Company went from zero customers in June, 1996 to approximately ten thousand customers when sold in June, 2008, with annual recurring revenue in excess of four million dollars.

Owner/Operator in charge of all facets of management, including: technology purchase and implementation, hiring, firing and managing employees, marketing, sales, and day-to-day operations. Duties also included acquisition and assimilation of several competitors.

Position: Contributing Editor – Compute! Magazine May, 1992 – June, 1994

Wrote reviews, how-to’s, and round ups for magazine on a variety of subjects, including: software reviews and product comparisons of graphics, desktop publishing, word processing and presentation software; hardware reviews and product comparisons of personal computer systems, laptops, printers, scanners, and display adaptors.
