Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3820 Wireless All-in-One Printer Review at PCMag

THE BOTTOM LINE

The WorkForce Pro WF-3820 prints well and fast for its entry-level purchase price, and it has good mobile device support, but high running costs limit its use to low-volume offices.

PROS

    • Excellent PrecisionCore print quality
    • Handy 2.7-inch touch screen
    • USB external drive support
    • Strong mobile device support
    • Fast for its entry-level price

CONS

    • Lacks multipurpose tray or slot
    • ADF is not auto-duplexing
    • High running costs

Epson’s WorkForce Pro WF-3820 Wireless All-in-One Printer ($149.99), the smallest of the WorkForce Pro line-up, is an entry-level business-oriented multifunction printer (print, copy, scan, and fax) designed primarily for small offices and home offices. It has good features for the price; it prints well and is reasonably fast. Like most lower-end inkjet AIOs, though, this one is a bit expensive to use, as it’s not compatible with Epson’s EcoTank bulk ink. That’s the primary reason it falls just short of earning our Editors’ Choice nod. Otherwise, it’s a fine little AIO and well-suited for printing about 100 to 200 pages per month.
