With its Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One Printer, HP Scouts Out a Piece of the Bulk-Ink Printer Market

Review of the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One at PCMag

  • PROS

Very low running costs. Great print quality. Small footprint.

  • CONS

Low capacity and volume ratings. Non-duplexing ADF and print engine. Ink bottles not keyed to corresponding onboard tanks.

  • BOTTOM LINE

The HP Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One is a bulk-ink printer that produces quality output and costs little to use over time, but lacks many of the convenient features of similarly priced competitors.

With the introduction of the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One ($449.99), the company finally joins the likes of Epson and Canon in the bulk-ink AIO printer market. However, compared with the equally priced Editors’ Choice Epson ET-4760 EcoTank All-in-One, it falls short in features, capacity, and volume.
